Biography
Tim received an Honours Degree in Physics and Space Science from Leicester University in 2000 and began to use technology to communicate an enthusiasm for education. Tim joined Janet in September 2006 as Schools Content Coordinator. Building on his previous role as Education Officer for eLearning at the National Space Centre. In 2010, after joining the Janet Strategic Technologies Division, Tim took the role of Application Development Team Manager. He now manages a variety of projects, with an emphasis on Applications development and Video Service development.
Abstract
Janet Video Futures Project
The Janet Video Futures Project aims to develop the next generation of the Janet Videoconferencing Service. Tim will be describing the main concepts and progress of the project, including how Janet aims to offer better interoperation with proprietary VC service and introduce a new user interface.
